WORKSHOP: "EXPAND YOUR AUDIENCE WITH CAPTIONS & SUBTITLES"

  • NORTHWEST FILM FORUM: THEATER 2
  • ICS

Imagine the exciting new trailer for that movie you can’t wait to see was just released but when you press play, there’s no sound. You can’t tell what the actors are saying, the explosions are silent, or perhaps there is sound, but it’s in another language so it all sounds like gibberish with no way to follow what’s happening.

Now, imagine there was one solution for both problems.

OPENING KEYNOTE: BERNIE SU

  • ICS

Seattle Web Fest is thrilled to announce that the #SWF2017 Keynote will be presented by none other than web series guru, Bernie Su!

When you say the words “web video” or “web series,” most people think the word web is just a delivery platform, but we know the web is so much more. It’s dynamic, social, and interactive. In this presentation, Bernie will first demonstrate how his two Emmy winning interactive series utilized the “web” beyond delivering just a video series, but built out a vast story world for two interactive stories that could only be consumed on the web. Then he’ll demonstrate how his other web series have led to brand sponsorships and sales to traditional television.
